Main Purpose of the Role

To manage your own team and file load of around 100 remortgage transactions under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Legal Practice. You will provide high quality, customer-focussed conveyancing services to customers of Dezrezlegal and assist the wider team to achieve their shared goals and values.

The Right Candidate

With at least 2 years’ experience in a busy residential conveyancing environment, you will be an excellent communicator with the ability manage your time effectively and have a commitment to doing your very best for our customers and property partners.  You will be highly capable at handling remortgage transactions and have experience of using a case management system. You will have a love for helping customers through the conveyancing process and a commitment to progressing your knowledge in a challenging but rewarding environment.

You will provide high quality, customer-focussed conveyancing services to customers of Dezrezlegal and assist the wider team to achieve their shared goals and values.

The Right Candidate

With at least 2 years PQE in a busy residential conveyancing environment, you will be an excellent communicator with the ability manage your time effectively and have a commitment to doing your very best for our customers and property partners.  You will be highly capable in all types of residential conveyancing including those that are more challenging such as leasehold, shared ownership and new build; and have experience of using a case management system. You will have a love for helping customers through the conveyancing process and a commitment to progressing your knowledge in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

Main Purpose of the Role 

You will provide high quality, customer-focussed conveyancing services to customers of Dezrezlegal and assist the wider team to achieve their shared goals and values.

 

The Right Candidate

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability manage your time effectively and have a commitment to doing your very best for customers and property partners.  You will have experience in the conveyancing sector either as an assistant or in a linked role. You will have a commitment to learning and progressing your conveyancing knowledge. 

 

Key Tasks 

1.      To actively support customers both over the telephone and in written correspondence in order to provide       advice and assistance to them in relation to residential property matters in England and Wales.

2.      To provide updates to customers frequently and wherever appropriate.

3.      The timely and accurate preparation of contract papers.

4.      Undertake OS1 and bankruptcy searches.

5.      Review and answer additional enquiries.

6.      Where appropriate to request additional information from third parties.

7.      To progress matters to exchange in a timely manner.

8.      The accurate and timely production of the file for exchange sign off.

9.      The exchanging of contracts.

10.   Prepare accurate and timely bills and completion statements.

11.   To retrieve funds from clients in a timely manner to effect completion.

12.   To report on Mortgage offers and Searches.

13.   The preparation of SDLT documentation.

14.   The accurate and timely logging on of incoming items.

15.   Undertake completion day procedures.
