Rachael’s career in conveyancing wasn’t part of the original plan. After completing her Law Degree, she had ambitions of becoming a criminal lawyer. However, with paralegal roles and training contracts in criminal law hard to secure at the time, she took a case progressor position at a well-known conveyancing firm in Cardiff. Just six months later, she joined DezrezLegal as a junior assistant. 13 and a half years on, and she’s never looked back!
Rachael soon progressed to Senior Assistant before qualifying with the CLC and becoming a Fee Earner. Today, she leads the team as Conveyancing Team Lead, drawing on more than a decade of hands-on experience.
For Rachael, resilience is the key to success in conveyancing. It’s a demanding industry with plenty of moving parts, and the ability to stay strong, juggle competing priorities and bounce back when challenges arise is essential.
Having spent almost her entire career at DezrezLegal, Rachael sees it as a true home away from home. She believes the family environment and protective “bubble” the team has built is what makes it so special.
Her go-to drinks are peppermint tea and Coke Zero, and her dream home would be a beachfront house in Malibu, California. Outside of work, she’s a big country music fan, loves keeping her fantasy football team up to date, and enjoys watching the football on a Saturday. Add in a pub lunch and a glass of white wine, and she’s in her element.
