Cerys found her way into conveyancing completely by accident. Originally qualifying as a music teacher, she took on an administrative apprenticeship as a temporary role while waiting to start a teaching position. After beginning as a Post Completion Assistant at Howells Solicitors, she was offered her teaching job just a month later… but by then, she’d discovered a real passion for conveyancing and decided to stay.
From there, Cerys worked her way up to Assistant and then Fee Earner, building her experience and expertise along the way. She returned to DezrezLegal in 2025 following maternity leave with her youngest daughter and is proud to be part of such a supportive and collaborative team.
For Cerys, one of the most important skills in conveyancing is the ability to truly empathise with clients and understand the emotions behind every move.
Fuelled by a proper builder’s tea (two sugars and a dash of milk), her dream home would be a beachfront property in Sydney, Australia – combining sunshine, sea views and an active outdoor lifestyle.
